From work perspective, its better to stick to a company/employer till atleast one of the following is satisfied:
1. Value from your Manager or above - Its important to get credit and be noticed for your work by your immediate manager or above. This also acts as a motivator to be recognised and to do more and grow up in the organisation.
2. Value from your own work: If you are working in a domain or state-of-the art technology(for technical folks) and your work can be leveraged later to rise up in your career.
Here, even if both of the above are satisfied, its good to stick long term(till any of the rules is not satisfied)
